Star Trek: Starbase 777

The corridor was long and empty... deceptively empty. There was also a few hatches to the #da-nang-tubes if one was bold enough to try taking that route and possibly avoid combat...

She cracked her knuckles. “Tubes! My fave. Maybe we should send someone through there?” She said, basically volunteering.

"I don't really want to split up any more...." Chris said with a frown, worried about Vara going into the tubes alone.

"Nuh uh, tubes are my fave," Allan chirped back, "which is a better argument for us all to go take a look at it, yeah, no more splitting up," he nodded in agreement to Chris and then carefully opened the hatch of the tubes to see if there was anything sus inside.

She poked her head inside the tubes as well. “No u.”

There was nothing sus inside, but the tubes were a little cramped so the team would need to go single file, as in.. crawling hands and knees, sniffing the butt of the person in front of you.

“Splitting up more sounds like… a bad idea, yeah. But I do like the idea of the tubes.” He turned back to where the turbolift had been. “Do you think they’ll really be alright?” His hands were shaking properly now, half nerves and half caffeine. Most of his crew mates couldn’t be cloned like he could.

“I mean, I think sending two in there while the others go along this way isn’t the worst idea. Gives us more versatility.” She said with a shrug. “I ain’t in charge though.”

"I don't know about that one..." Chris said in response to sending 2 people into the tubes... alone. "What if there's titties?"

"Yeah, it's best if we stick together, I think, and - yeah, we'll do everything we can, promise," he said then to Dezyim, looking in the tubes and sighing when he realized how small they were. "For you non-engineers, these are a lot smaller than most of the ones on the station, but - if you guys are alright with that," he blinked a few times at what Chris asked, "sorry, what..?"

"A good portion of them were tactical, or security officers. I'm sure they will be fine, Cadet." Iviaan did not comment on tubes escapades. He really did not want to go down there, so. (edited)

"Titties. Like.... traps. Titties," Chris repeated, very seriously!

"Booby traps?.." He suggested instead.

"Exactly!" Chris snapped his fingers and pointed to Iviaan.

“As a fan of boobies and traps and booby traps, I think that works.” She said with a hum.

“You’re right, you’re right.” Dezyim took a deep breath and smoothed his uniform. “I think splitting up is a bad idea. On one hand, there could be trouble in the corridor that the people in the tubes could help with. On the other hand, if there’s problems in the tubes it’ll be really difficult to get out or get people out. Hmm…” He put his glasses back on, and looked down the corridor. “I’m not even sure what advantage the tubes could offer us…”

"We could put the idea in our back pocket as a hiding place later," Iviaan suggested, inclining his head.

There were sounds of movement around the corner.... what could it be?

The doctor held up his hand to gesture for silence, doing a Real Quick scan to see if he could get a look at who could be coming. Everyone else could file into the tubes if they wanted, anyway..

There was one Vaadwaur lifesign up ahead, approaching the team.....

“That’s a good point..” he cut off abruptly after hearing the sound. His hand went to the phaser on his hip, and he leaned forwards, trying to get a better handle on the sound.

"We need to move," came the much quieter TTS, as close to a whisper as Iviaan felt comfortable doing in front of everyone. "Tubes, splitting up, or no tubes. We need to decide now." (edited)

"Eeep!" Chris squeaked as he ran behind Dezyim.

"Ah, okay, gotcha, well, I think-" Allan had said to all the talk about booby traps, and then when he heard the noise, he looked towards it, and kind of crawled into the tube slo-o-owly. "Tubes." And he's climbed into the tube, now, unless everyone decided to not do that.

"Tubes is agreeable," Alizati said right before diving into the tubes.

They were averse to the tubes. It was possible, but very awkward to crawl with one arm. Still, possible was possible, so they pushed through. (edited)

Vara went into the tubes with speed. “Come on team, let’s motor.”

Dezyim didn’t have to be told twice. He borderline dove into the tube

By choosing the tubes, the team narrowly avoided combat! whoop!

The corridor was empty....... allegedly.

Dezyim stepped out into the corridor, listening for any movement. He was standing up against the right wall, phaser at the ready.

Alizati stepped into the corridor, seeing nothing. "Maybe we should scan?"

“Oh. That’d be smart,” he said, keeping his voice low. He pulled out his tricorder and scanned.

No danger in the corridor, the team could go to #rigas-main-engineering !

"So then, let's go," Alizati said as he calmly walked toawrds engineering.

Iviaan silently vroooomed along, following behind!

Into engineering they went.
